We are subject to an external annual audit by
our auditors and random RBZ spot checks. We also allow for further random
audits during the course of a financial year for the purpose of ensuring a
continuous high standard of accounting and administration.
Our computer system is also subject to a regular computer audit. Compliance
with Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe requirements forms the minimum standard with
in-house controls being overlaid on these. All money market investments are
either outright Treasury Bills purchases or deals secured with the same,
covering both the capital amount and interest.
The clients have an option to either register their securities in the name
of our nominee company or in their own name. Stanbic Bank through their
nominee company provides the custodial services for our clients’ assets.
Although the scrip is held in the nominee company, the assets always remain
the property of the client and are accounted for separately.
Strict audit procedures similar to those mentioned above are followed.
Clients’ funds are segregated from our own balance sheet and as such treated
as off balance sheet items. We also provide audit certificates to our
clients on request.
